Hermit Press was set up in 2020, as the world gradually shut down during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The first title it published was New Orleans, a travelogue. Caves, an account of rock-cut temple architecture in Ipoh, Malaysia, followed.

A small press based in Singapore, Hermit Press is a space for experimental texts and artist books. A way of sharing knowledge and ideas to make objects outside of conventional publishing industries. A dream of getting niche titles into the hands of readers not afraid of the weird and absurd.
